Job Summary
The CNA provides direct routine care to residents under the supervision of an LPN/RN, performing nursing, personal care and basic restorative services as outlined in the resident’s Plan of Care. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, taking and recording vital signs, monitoring and documenting care, maintaining resident dignity and rights, communicating with the care team, promoting independence, and adhering to safety, HIPAA, and infection-control standards. The role emphasizes resident-centered care, teamwork, and adapting to the facility’s quality-improvement goals, with an emphasis on compassionate, respectful interactions and accurate documentation.
