FT Phlebotomist

Job Summary
Collect urine specimens and perform blood draws while adhering to departmental policies and infection control protocols. Enter patient information accurately into the electronic requisition system and label specimens for laboratory transport. Maintain inventory of sampling supplies, ensure collection areas are organized, and package specimens according to shipping guidelines. Document all collection activities, report issues or refusals per facility policy, and follow HIPAA compliance standards. This role supports a detox and treatment center with a Monday-Friday schedule (9a-5p, 40 hours weekly). Candidates must hold a Phlebotomy certificate and possess strong communication skills.

- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, while maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor
- Basic computer/data entry skills and knowledge, including proficiency in common applications such as Microsoft Office, email communication, and the internet
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting and squatting
