Job Summary
The Server is responsible for serving meals and performing related tasks in the dining room for senior residents, ensuring a pleasant and efficient dining operation. Key responsibilities include taking orders, serving food, assisting in dining room set-up, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. Essential skills include the ability to follow directions, communicate with residents, and understand dietary standards. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to adhere to health and safety policies. Dependability and a professional appearance are necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Be free of communicable disease
- Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check upon hire
Additional Requirements
- Ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents
- Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Maintain neat, clean appearance and follow appropriate dress code as directed by chef/cook
