Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, hygiene, toileting, eating, and ambulation. Conduct room checks, resident rounds, and monitor for environmental safety hazards while reporting changes in physical or cognitive status. Perform housekeeping tasks such as laundry, bed-making, and cleaning bathrooms, and escort residents for transportation and dining. Utilize safe transfer techniques, operate medical equipment, and follow infection control procedures. Respond to emergencies promptly and document all services provided.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Certification by state approved program, if required
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred, but not required
