Job Summary
Administers or assists with the administration of medications to residents in a safe, accurate, and timely manner; provides physical and psychosocial care to residents; oversees wellness staffing schedule; documents medications on the MAR; conducts narcotic counts; maintains medication cart security; assists with activities of daily living; works collaboratively with peers; observes changes in residents’ condition and reports to Wellness Director or charge nurse; responds to emergencies promptly; follows CDC/OSHA safety and infection control procedures; maintains cleanliness of residents' rooms; participates in staffing on-call rotations; on-site role with evening/night/weekend shifts; participates in resident-centered activities; demonstrates professional demeanor and compassionate care.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required.
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist.
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required; must be able to lift 40 pounds.
