Job Summary
Coordinate resident care and supervise Resident Care Assistants and Medication Technicians as the shift team leader. Administer medications per physician orders, maintain accurate MAR documentation, and conduct daily narcotic counts. Monitor e-call systems, manage resident charts, and report significant health changes to the Wellness Director. Respond promptly to emergencies, enforce care standards through coaching and disciplinary procedures, and train new associates. Provide personal care while maintaining professional demeanor and using diplomatic communication in sensitive situations. Ensure compliance with CDC Standard Precautions and OSHA safety rules. Operate medical equipment and participate in shift handovers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Must be a licensed nurse in state where you work
- Minimum of two years nursing experience
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in an Assisted Living setting preferred
- Dementia care experience preferred
