Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to surgical patients across the age continuum, controlling the environment within the surgical suite and coordinating a safe plan of care. Demonstrate application of age-specific standards for administering medications and performing treatments for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, anesthesia providers, and SPD staff to plan for optimal patient outcomes and promote Universal Protocol and time-out procedures. Participate in performance improvement activities by collecting data to maintain quality and developing patient care delivery systems. Requires current RN licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS/PALS within six months; BSN preferred. Full-time position with a $15,000 sign-on bonus available.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Associate's degree
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or compact multi-state license
- BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Ability to demonstrate manual dexterity in handling instruments

- CNOR Certification
- Familiar with instruments and equipment related to Perioperative Nursing
