Job Summary
Administer medications accurately using the six rights, monitor residents for condition changes, and document all care in the electronic health record. Maintain medication inventories, coordinate reorders, and complete narcotic counts at shift change while reporting discrepancies immediately. Follow strict storage, handling, and destruction procedures while communicating effectively with nurses, providers, residents, and family members to ensure a safe evening environment. Requires minimum one year of proven Med Tech or Medication Aide experience, current SC CNA certification, and CPR/AED certification. Full-time evening shift from 3pm to 11pm every other weekend.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum one year of proven, documented Med Tech or Medication Aide experience
- Current CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain CPR/AED certification upon employment
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material
- Ability to represent the Bishop Gadsden community professionally both in manner and appearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in all aspects of long term care for the elderly
- Current SC Nurse Aide Registry C.N.A. Certification, in good standing
