Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I performs semi-skilled duties in planning, care, and maintenance of the Ogden City Cemetery and related facilities; duties include assisting with interments and cremains placement, landscape and irrigation maintenance, material handling, tool/vehicle operation, safety checks, and assisting with events. May serve as field foreman over up to six seasonal and part-time employees; requires ability to operate heavy machinery and perform general facilities maintenance, reporting, and coordination with supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain a Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) Certification within one year of hire
- Possession of or ability to obtain within 150 days, a Utah State Class A CDL with tanker and air brake endorsements
- Desirable possession of or ability to obtain Utah State Pesticide Category 3 Turf and Ornamental Applicators License
- Employees will be required to complete NIMS IS100 and IS700 within six months of hire
