Job Summary
Provide personal care services and ensure patient safety under clinical direction, including rounds, vital signs, medication delivery, and activities of daily living. Execute interventions from care plans, apply de-escalation techniques, and lead or co-lead therapeutic sessions while monitoring behavioral improvements. Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient transportation as needed, maintaining accurate documentation and resolving customer complaints promptly. Work 12-hour shifts in a new inpatient behavioral health facility in Indio, CA, with an hourly rate of $32.00 to $38.75.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed Psychiatric Technician or Licensed Vocational Nurse by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification
- First aid (may be required based on state or facility requirements)
- FT LVN Days and FT Nights (12 hr shifts)
- Coachella Valley Behavioral Health, Indio CA (near Palm Springs)
- Hourly rate range: $32.00 to $38.75, depending on experience
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in human service field from an accredited college or university
- One or more years' experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician, Licensed Vocational Nurse in a behavioral health environment, and/or Behavioral Health Associate
- One or more years' experience working with the specific population of the facility
- Training available upon hire and offered by facility (for CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification)
