Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (Prince George) provides nursing care to clients within the programs in accordance with BCCNM standards, administers medications and injections, monitors vital signs, assists with activities of daily living, collaborates with healthcare providers to develop and implement care plans, maintains records, supports client health, safety and well-being, and adheres to infection control and privacy policies. Flexible hours may include evenings/weekends; non-union environment with comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM)
- Health care related experience preferably in seniors’ care including dementia, geriatrics and Acquired Brain Injury
- Experience in case planning, trauma-informed care, and psychosocial rehabilitation
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
