Job Summary
Conduct total nursing care for residents by visiting each resident throughout the shift, instructing C.N.A.s on resident needs, and interacting with staff, families, and physicians to ensure optimum care. Administer medications according to established procedures, document all pertinent information in resident records daily, and follow up with other staff to ensure accuracy. Encourage resident participation in unit life and activities while assuming a leadership role by supervising unlicensed staff and providing direction to C.N.A.s as needed. Assist in unit orientation and guidance of all new employees, working independently with proper direction to perform all duties effectively, timely, and professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed (LPN) by the state of South Carolina and in good standing with a current active license
- Must have the ability and knowledge to act in a supervisory capacity
- BLS certified OR willingness to get certified within 3 months of employment
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism and clinical skills
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor at all times
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, squat, climb, reach above head, carry, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written
