Job Summary

The FT Ethics and Religion Faculty is responsible for teaching a range of undergraduate Ethics and Religion courses, with a teaching load of up to 15 credit hours per semester. The role involves developing and maintaining accurate academic records, advising students, participating in curriculum development, and supervising student interns when applicable. Candidates must hold a Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Ethics/Philosophy and Religion, with graduate coursework specifically in Ethics and Religion. Strong communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to cultural diversity are essential, alongside the ability to use technology effectively for teaching.

Required Qualifications

  • Earned Master’s Degree in Ethics/Philosophy and Religion, or a Ph.D. in Ethics/Philosophy and Religion or related field
  • Graduate level coursework must include Ethics and Religion courses
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and strong commitment to cultural diversity
  • Possess the minimum credential standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)

Desired Qualifications

  • Teaching experience at the university level preferred
  • Experience with publishing and/or presenting research preferred
