Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service at Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s Gun Counter, assisting customers in selecting firearms and related gear while ensuring compliance with provincial, federal and company regulations. Demonstrate knowledge of firearms makes/models and hunting-related concepts, make product recommendations based on customer needs, maintain store presentation and merchandise, handle customer issues with sound judgment, stay informed on outdoor trends and technologies, and contribute to team operations across departments as needed. Compensation offered in the posted range with full-time benefits; starting pay aligns with $18.50–$21.25 per hour in US dollars-equivalent terms. Licenses required: Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License. Education: HS diploma or equivalent preferred. Location: Abbotsford, BC, Canada (in-person role).
Required Qualifications
- One or more years’ experience in a sales or service environment is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- A Restricted and Non-Restricted Possession and Acquisition License is required
- Ability to evaluate customers’ needs and make recommendations based on needs
- Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
- Knowledge of Bass Pro Shops/ Cabela’s specific products is an asset
