Job Summary
Assist customers with deli products, prepare and package food items, and maintain a clean and organized deli counter. Develop in-depth knowledge of all deli products to support operational excellence and accurately cut, slice, weigh, and package items in alignment with company standards. Utilize fryers, ovens, and stoves to prepare hot food items with quality standards, ensuring proper portioning and presentation based on customer requests. Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace in adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations while supporting all company safety, security, and operational procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. This full-time role in our Laconia, NH store requires standing 90% of the time and frequent lifting of weights between 20–40 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, employees, and management
- Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service through prompt issue resolution and a customer-focused approach
- Frequent lifting, pushing, carrying, and pulling of weights between 20–40 lbs., with occasional lifting over 40 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and walking (10%)
- Frequent kneeling, bending, and reaching above and below waist level
- Working in various temperature-controlled environments, including freezers (extreme cold) and areas near ovens (extreme heat)
- Working in receiving areas with occasional humidity or wet flooring
- Slip-resistant footwear
- Hair nets or hats
- Knowledge of deli operations, merchandising, cleanliness, and safety
