Job Summary
Conduct daily desk functions, assist in the classroom, and manage check-in and check-out procedures for children. Engage children daily to build relationships with students, teachers, and families while entering data for the Gold Assessment and tracking attendance. Follow Adult and Child Food Program guidelines and accreditation standards. Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications and assist other staff during emergencies. Operate in an early childhood learning environment with frequent exposure to outside weather and standard office equipment. Some holidays may be required, and work times may vary based on agency needs.
Required Qualifications
- A Criminal Background and Abuse check
- An up to date physical, including a TB test
- A fingerprint background check
- A valid driver's license
- A driving record sufficient to qualify for agency automobile coverage
- Current CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Ability to occasionally lift or move items up to 10 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Color vision
- Peripheral vision
- Depth perception
- The ability to adjust focus
- Ability to assist other staff during an emergency situation
- Availability for some holidays
- Availability for daytime and evening hours
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
