Job Summary
Oversee daily activities of nursing aides and LPNs, ensuring adherence to policies while administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing direct personal care. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, maintain accurate documentation of medical histories and treatment changes, and act as a liaison between residents, families, and staff. Respond to medical emergencies, coordinate interventions, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance facility care standards. Ensure all practices meet state regulations and maintain a safe environment. Requires a valid Louisiana LPN license, 1-2 years of experience, BLS certification, and strong leadership skills. Located in Louisiana.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing
- at least 1-2 years of nursing experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Current CPR certification
- Familiarity with state regulations and nursing home policies
- The ability to assess situations quickly and act accordingly
- A caring attitude towards elderly patients and their families
