Job Summary
Maintain a responsive customer service presence on the Bulk Department retail floor by assisting members with questions, offering samples, and providing purchase suggestions. Replenish and rotate stock, manage materials like bags and labels, and remove damaged goods promptly while keeping retail, prep, and storage areas clean and orderly. Supervise member workers during shifts, assign tasks, and assist with receipt of deliveries including unloading and storing. Complete special projects and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Bulk Manager. This full-time, non-exempt role requires familiarity with natural foods, the ability to lift 65 lbs continuously, and flexibility in scheduling to cover additional shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Familiarity with natural foods
- Ability to safely lift 65 lbs. continuously and consistently
- Ability to project friendly, helpful presence to customers while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organized, with attention to details
- Flexibility in scheduling, including willingness to exchange shifts with co-workers, willingness to cover additional shifts if needed, and willingness to alter work schedule to meet changing needs of the department
