Job Summary
The Assistant Professor/Program Coordinator is responsible for teaching undergraduate accounting courses, conducting research, academic advising, and managing co-curricular activities. Duties include maintaining professional scholarship, advising students, managing the classroom environment, and submitting timely records. The position also involves program coordination tasks such as organizing meetings, curriculum assessments, and acting as academic advisor. A Master's degree in accounting or related field is required, with a Ph.D./DBA preferred, along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning; Ph.D./DBA preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated understanding and strong commitment to cultural diversity.
- Must possess the minimum credential standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), which normally includes at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in the subject area or suitable approved justifications.
Desired Qualifications
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Experience with publishing and/or presenting research preferred.
