Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing YMCA facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, and housekeeping tasks. Must respond to work orders, ensure safety and cleanliness, assist with event setups, and support all departments to deliver a positive member experience. Requires a flexible schedule, the ability to work at heights, and CPR/First Aid training (training provided). Prior maintenance or mechanical experience is preferred; eagerness to learn and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment is essential.
Required Qualifications

- Goal-oriented, open-minded, eager to learn and ask questions
- Ability to multitask and stay calm in emergency situations with sound judgment
- Strong communication skills with members, guests, and co-workers
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including off-hours for special repairs
- CPR and First Aid training (provided) or willingness to obtain training during employment
- Experience in maintenance or mechanical tasks preferred (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, housekeeping, landscaping)
- Ability to walk/move continuously; lift up to 50 pounds; work outdoors in all weather
- Safety training and safe work practices
- Ability to respond to work orders promptly
- Team-oriented and adaptable to supporting all departments
