Job Summary
Coordinate FSQA Technician activities and supervise shift inspectors to ensure compliance with Food Safety and Specification Adherence. Implement daily plans by breaking down activities into specific work assignments, conduct shift briefings, and monitor progress on production and quality objectives. Investigate nonconformance issues, isolate affected products, and report all quality and safety findings to leadership. Train technicians on procedures and maintain accurate daily records. Work with beef, poultry, and pork products while adhering to USDA regulations and company policies. This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, standing for up to 12 hours, and working in varying temperatures and wet environments. Candidates must possess at least one year of FSQA experience and be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of FSQA experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Math and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications
- Must function well under stress
- Must have flexibility to work where and when needed
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must be able to work in wet environment
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification
