FSQA Technician – 2nd shift – Seguin Plant

Job Summary
Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately on paper and tablets. Execute corrective actions by alerting personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting findings to management. Handle additional assignments as requested while maintaining Tyson paperwork standards. This role requires a minimum of one year in food manufacturing or related quality assurance experience, including Lock Out Tag Out certification. Applicants must be willing to work the 2nd shift, lift up to 75 pounds, and operate in varying temperatures. Tyson Foods seeks candidates with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to function well under stress.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to document and calculate results accurately on paper as well as tablets
- Skills to complete Tyson paperwork
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Math and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications
- Ability to function well under stress
- Flexibility to work where and when needed
- Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Ability to work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work in wet environment
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling
- Ability to reach high and low levels frequently
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Lock Out Tag Out certification
