FSQA Technician – 2nd shift – Seguin Plant

Job Summary
Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating results accurately on paper and tablets. Take corrective action by alerting personnel to adjust processes, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management. Handle additional assignments as requested while functioning well under stress and leading by example. This 2nd shift position at the Seguin Plant requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year in food manufacturing or related quality assurance. Candidates must possess Lock Out Tag Out certification, lift up to 75 pounds, and stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours daily. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to document and calculate results accurately on paper as well as tablets
- Skills to complete Tyson paperwork
- Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
- Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
- Math and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications
- Must function well under stress
- Flexibility to work where and when needed
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Must work in cold/hot temperatures typically ranging from 30-90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Must be able to work in wet environment
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling
- Must be able to reach high and low levels frequently
- Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Lock Out Tag Out certification
- No written warnings within the previous six (6) months
- No written warning with suspensions within the previous twelve (12) months
- Must not have five (5) or more attendance points
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
