Job Summary
Food Safety Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead daily QA initiatives, oversee HACCP CCPs, coordinate GMP/sanitation audits, manage product holds/releases, support SQF program and FDA/USDA regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across production and warehouse operations. Requires a high school diploma or GED (bachelor’s preferred) and at least 2 years of QA supervisory/management experience in food processing or manufacturing; strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and regulatory requirements; ability to document activities and participate in regulatory inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Biology, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality assurance supervisory or management role
- In-depth knowledge of Food Safety Guidelines, GMPs, and safe food handling procedures
- Strong understanding of HACCP principles and implementation
- Familiarity with FDA and USDA regulatory requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and basic computer applications
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
