Job Summary
Food Safety & Quality Manager in Jerome, ID leading SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA and CGMP programs. Oversees testing, reporting, and compliance with USDA, FDA, and customer requirements; conducts internal audits; leads quality audits; manages non-conforming equipment/product programs; analyzes data to proactively address safety/quality issues; supervises QA Technicians; develops SOPs, policies, and job breakdowns; drives continuous improvement and maintains quality KPIs; member of plant food safety, crisis management, and food defense teams; conducts routine plant inspections and hygienic-design-focused activities; requires strong communication and bilingual capability (English/Spanish preferred). Also notes outstanding relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Applied knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety Preventative Controls/SQF (or equivalent GFSI scheme)
- Minimum 1+ year of Quality Leadership experience
- Competent in coaching and team development
- Strong understanding of hygienic design
- Skilled in developing SOPs, policies, and job breakdowns
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attentive to detail and demonstrates accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
