Job Summary
Lead plant-wide food safety and quality programs in a 24/7 food-manufacturing facility; own audit readiness and execution for regulatory, customer, and certification audits; manage and improve the Quality Management System; drive GMPs, sanitation, and hygiene standards; investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions; partner with operations and leadership to maintain audit readiness; oversee lab-related quality activities and contribute to continuous improvement; some international travel may be required; reports to Plant Director with 5-7 direct reports; role includes participation in daily production meetings and cross-functional leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, food technology, chemistry, biology, or a related field required; advanced degree is a plus
- Strong audit leadership experience
- Experience with FSMA/FDA requirements and GFSI-style certification environments
- Comfortable enforcing GMPs and leading plant-wide quality and hygiene expectations
- Able to work effectively with both hourly teams and plant leadership
- Current direct team includes 5-7 reports
