Job Summary
Lecturer/teacher delivering Foundation and Diploma Studies programs at La Trobe College Australia (Navitas). Responsibilities include lecturing, providing academic support to students, supervision and marking of assignments and exams within the Foundation Studies Program. Requires tertiary qualifications in education with methods in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics; extensive experience teaching Foundation Studies or Year 12 / VCE; strong written and verbal communication; experience with a learning management system; ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines; commitment to a multicultural environment; understanding of pathway programs and university articulation; opportunities across Navitas’ global operations; benefits include access to LinkedIn Learning and a diverse, inclusive workplace.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in education with methods in Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics
- Extensive experience teaching Foundation Studies or Year 12 / VCE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with a learning management system to assist and enhance the delivery of subject content
- Demonstrated understanding of and empathy for a multicultural environment
- A comprehensive understanding of pathway programs and their articulation with university courses
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and initiate change
- Demonstrated ability to work with changing priorities and meeting deadlines
