Job Summary
Provide families with in-depth information about available service programs and assist them in navigating the social service system. Incorporate the Principles of Family Support and Protective Factors into all work while advocating for families and helping them problem-solve complex issues. Establish partnerships with community providers to facilitate successful outcomes and document trends for the Parent Advisory Council. Plan and facilitate workshops, coordinate Center activities, and perform assigned special projects. This full-time role requires flexibility for six-day availability, including weekends and evenings.
Required Qualifications
- BA from an accredited institution of higher learning
- Ability to engage multi-cultural families in a community setting and assess individual and family dynamics
- Ability to establish and maintain productive communication and working relationships with families, co-workers, and community members to provide quality, client-centered services
- Experience with computers, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Windows environment)
- Valid New Jersey driver's license and a safe driving record
- One to three (1-3) years of experience delivering family support services
- Flexibility in scheduling and hours of availability based on Center needs
- Availability on some weekends and evenings
