Job Summary
Conduct daily food safety tasks including pre- and post-operational checks, temperature monitoring, cooler/freezer inspections, and thermometer calibration. Perform microbiological testing with in-house ATP swabs, oversee third-party cleaning activities, and manage pest control and chemical stock levels. Answer inquiries regarding food safety procedures, reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices through floor inspections, and report non-compliance issues to ensure corrective actions. Ensure adherence to local, state, federal, and international health and food safety regulations while assisting with customer audits and health department inspections. Requires 2 years of experience in food processing or hospitality, a High School Diploma, and proficiency in English and Microsoft Office. Flexible shifts including nights and weekends are required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in food processing, hospitality, or a high-paced catering establishment with floor monitoring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
- Exceptional organizational and detail-oriented capabilities
- Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Assurance principles
- Food Safety Certification, such as Safe SERV training
- Ability to work long hours on foot and in environments with varying temperatures
- Flexibility to work different shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) based on business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems
- Preferred certification in HACCP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals across various functions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
