Job Summary
Internal agency opportunity for current FDACS employees to perform fruit and vegetable terminal market inspections, determine quality and compliance, issue federal certificates, knowledge of federal grades, identify market diseases, and apply Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act regulations. Duties include certifying locally grown commodities, staying current with federal/state grade amendments, and ensuring accurate documentation of inspection findings; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class E driver license
- Federal license FV-200 and/or FV-201 within one year of appointment
- Occasional travel
- Some alternate work hours and overtime may be required
