Job Summary
Fabricate, install, and maintain specialty systems and equipment by reading blueprints, interpreting schematics, and using advanced hand and power tools. Conduct routine quality control inspections, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure projects meet safety standards and deadlines. Supervise and mentor apprentices, assist with estimating costs, and report progress to supervisors while adhering to OSHA regulations and environmental disposal protocols. Work primarily on construction job sites, often in confined spaces or elevated areas, requiring the ability to lift heavy materials and wear full PPE.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in an industrial or specialty craft environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Advanced knowledge of hand tools, power tools, machinery, and industrial systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members
- In-depth understanding of safety protocols, quality control standards, and industry regulations
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various industrial environments
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in confined spaces or elevated areas
- Flexibility to work extended hours or on weekends
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certifications or training in a specialized craft area (e.g., welding, plumbing, electrical)
- Certification in a specialty craft
- Safety certifications (OSHA 30 or equivalent)
- Experience with industrial machinery, welding, or fabrication
- Ability to use advanced tools and technologies specific to the craft or industry
