Frontline Truck & Bus Technician

Job Summary
Provide Volvo Frontline Support to customers within a designated area, conducting maintenance, repair, fault diagnosis, and testing on trucks, buses, and coaches. When frontline duties are unavailable, return to depot shifts to perform preventative maintenance and complete repairs on commercial vehicles. Complete paperwork for warranty, contract, and retail work while maintaining knowledge of technical data through manufacturer training. Work under pressure as part of a small team or independently, utilizing a methodical approach to problem solving. A City & Guilds level 3 in HGV Maintenance is required, along with a full UK driving licence.
Required Qualifications
- City & Guilds level 3 in HGV Maintenance or other equivalent qualification
- Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles
- Organised and methodical approach to problem solving with attention to detail
- Undertaken manufacturers training courses and maintained knowledge of work methods and technical data
- Full and current UK driving licence
- Friendly, confident, and professional manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a larger team as well as on their own initiative
- Excellent Job Card write up skills and highly efficient
- Flexible in their normal working week to ensure the coverage and support of customers within their designated areas
- Cover on some weekends as part of a weekend call out rota
- Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm
