Job Summary
Frontend Web Designer collaborates closely with the Backend Web Developer to implement user-centered design changes on the AS website, conducts user research and testing to guide development, designs intuitive interfaces, wireframes, and prototypes, creates visuals to enhance content, ensures brand consistency, and aligns web design initiatives with organizational goals through collaboration with designers and the Design Coordinator; requires WordPress/Elementor experience, prototyping tools (Adobe XD, Figma), HTML/CSS knowledge, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills, Google Analytics/SEO awareness, and strong organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled SFSU student with minimum of 6 units for undergraduates or 4 units for graduates in Fall 2024
- Experience with creating custom pages & posts in WordPress or another web building platform (Elementor for Wordpress knowledge is a plus)
- Knowledge of prototyping tools such as Adobe XD & Figma
- Familiarity with web design principles, usability best practices, and user-centered design methodologies
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop
- Some knowledge of Google Analytics & SEO
- Some knowledge of HTML & CSS
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, able to maintain strong working relationships
- Fast learner, well organized & detail oriented
- Ability to establish priorities and work independently
