Job Summary
Frontend Software Engineer (Junior) performing design, development, deployment, and maintenance of NSITE software within an agile team. Responsibilities include collaborating with leadership and customers to align requirements, documenting work for teammates and stakeholders, solving challenging problems with performant, clean code, and developing intuitive UI using C#, .NET, WPF, and MVVM. Familiarity with DevExpress/Telerik/Infragistics toolsets, modern software engineering practices (AGILE), unit testing, and source-control (Git/GitLab) are preferred. Travel: Less than 10% annually. Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one. Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. Technologies/areas: NSITE, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Tactical Data Links, and related defense-oriented software engineering context.
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Clearance, or ability to obtain one
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 1-3 years experience working with Software Design and Development
- Proficient in C#, and in Microsoft .NET
- Familiarity with WPF and MVVM patterns
- Ability to understand what makes an intuitive User Interface (UI)
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including Agile methodologies
- Ability to analyze a requirement, generate a design, and produce efficient, robust, and testable software
- Ability to understand, and evaluate WPF / C# code and develop corresponding unit test(s)
