Job Summary
Lead technical analysis by refining requirements, defining state diagrams, and writing functional specifications in Markdown/Gherkin before coding. Model complex state flows and design resilient interface architectures for high-traffic, low-latency environments. Collaborate with Product, UX, and Automation QA teams to translate business scenarios into clear acceptance criteria and well-structured system behaviors. Design components prioritizing long-term maintainability while anticipating edge cases and bottlenecks. This role operates within BetWarrior's multidisciplinary squads, evolving toward Spec-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development models to deliver robust, scalable solutions across Latin American sports betting and casino platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing critical state flows in web applications or concurrent platforms
- Demonstrated ability to create technical documentation prior to development (OpenAPI/Swagger specs, UML/sequence diagrams, Markdown technical specs)
- Familiarity with defining business-oriented scenarios using Given-When-Then / Gherkin
- Strong foundations in computer science or software engineering (design patterns, data structures, browser performance)
- Experience or working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience or working knowledge of UI libraries/frameworks such as React
- Experience or working knowledge of Node.js environments
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working on high-traffic, high-concurrency, or real-time data platforms
- Experience going through complex production incidents or post-mortems that have shaped your approach to preventing errors through clear specifications
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture or real-time API technologies (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)
