Frontend Engineer

Job Summary
Build impactful product experiences by improving and delivering innovations across the Catawiki platform for buyers, sellers, customer service, and internal operations teams. Create adaptable web frontends on top of scalable microservices using TypeScript and ReactJS, delivering responsive, accessible experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile screens. Optimize product performance by measuring and monitoring systems, while partnering with Product Managers and UX Designers on A/B tests to validate ideas and iterate. Collaborate across disciplines with engineers, QA, design, and product colleagues to build scalable, maintainable solutions within an interdisciplinary team of Backend, iOS, and Android Engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive frontend experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Frontend Engineer
- JavaScript or TypeScript as your main stack
- Strong portfolio of frontend deliveries
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- HTML
- CSS
- Understanding of HTTP/S
- Understanding of the Critical Rendering Path
- Understanding of CORS
- Understanding of caching
- Understanding of CDNs
- Familiarity with libraries and frameworks such as ReactJS, NextJS, Redux, CSS Modules, Tailwind, and/or Rails
- Proven experience in product companies
- Experience designing, implementing, deploying, monitoring, and managing applications
- An understanding of principles such as SOLID and DRY
