Job Summary
Monitor the health and availability of Front Office trading applications for Zeus, Pegasus, Bond RFQ, Iris, and Tradebox, ensuring services run efficiently and resolving issues promptly. Provide day-to-day support to traders by responding to application questions and troubleshooting production problems, while performing releases and deployments in coordination with development teams. Investigate and escalate incidents to minimize business impact, maintaining operational procedures and collaborating with global support teams in New York, Montreal, London, and Paris. This role requires strong problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Quantitative Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in application support, production support, or a similar role
- Previous exposure to a Front Office or financial markets environment
- Experience supporting traders, sales teams, or business users
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and SQL
- Experience with Bash scripting
- Understanding of Fixed Income products and trading workflows
- Location: NYC (Hybrid – at least 4 days onsite/week)
- Visa Sponsorship: We offer sponsorship under specific treaty-based U.S. work visas, including TN and E-2 (Talan is a French Company). We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B, OPT, etc)
Desired Qualifications
- Bash or shell scripting knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
- Knowledge of Fixed Income products, including bonds, CDS, and CDX, is preferred
- Understanding of pricing, risk calculations, or electronic trading workflows is a plus
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and remain effective under pressure
- Autonomous, client-focused, proactive, and team-oriented
