Job Summary
Front Office Specialist serves as the first point of contact, delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience and handling administrative duties for smooth check-in/out. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service in person or by phone, greeting patients professionally, answering phones, managing patient flow, double-checking insurance authorizations, collecting payments, performing daily reconciliations of the cash drawer, and ensuring HIPAA policy compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, and the role involves working in a standard office or clinical setting with potential travel to other locations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent education/experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- High school diploma or GED required
