Job Summary
Front Office Specialist provides first-contact service and administrative support to ensure a smooth patient check-in/out experience. Responsibilities include delivering exceptional customer service in person or by phone, greeting patients professionally, answering phones, managing timely appointments, verifying insurance authorizations, ensuring accurate cash handling and daily reconciliations, coordinating patient flow and communication to maximize efficiency, complying with HIPAA and company policies, and performing general office duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
