Job Summary
Front Office Specialist acts as the first point of contact delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service in person or by phone, greeting patients professionally, managing patient check-in/out, handling insurance authorizations, ensuring accurate cash handling and daily reconciliations, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant office procedures. The role supports patient flow, communicates effectively with patients and physicians, and assists with general office duties as assigned. Requires familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), strong interpersonal skills, and prior experience in a medical office setting preferred. The position involves occasional travel to other locations as part of duties.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
