Job Summary
Front Office Specialist responsible for being the first point of contact and delivering a world class Total Patient Experience. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering phones, coordinating with the clinic team, managing patient flow, handling insurance authorizations, processing payments and reconciling the cash drawer, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and performing general office duties to support efficient check-in/out and overall patient service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong customer service skills are required; ophthalmic or medical office experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
