Job Summary
Front Office Specialist serves as the first point of contact, delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience and handling essential administrative duties to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients. Responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service in person or by phone, greeting patients professionally, answering phones, managing patient flow, double-checking insurance authorizations, collecting payments, reconciling cash drawer daily, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and performing general office duties as directed by management. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required; physical requirements include frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, and ability to assist in a clinical office setting.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous medical office experience preferred; previous ophthalmic experience strongly preferred
