Job Summary
Front Office Specialist is the first point of contact for patients, delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience. Responsibilities include greeting patients, in-person or via phone, handling check-in/check-out, answering phones, ensuring timely service, managing patient flow, reconciling daily activity, collecting payments, verifying insurance authorizations, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant office procedures. Requires strong customer service skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a clinical/medical office environment. Located in office settings with potential travel to other locations as needed; experience in ophthalmic/medical offices preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Favorable result on background check as required by state
- Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
