Job Summary
Front Office Manager is responsible for the daily operation of the front desk and guest-facing arrival/departure functions at City Express by Marriott. The role leads the front office team to uphold Marriott brand standards, drive Bonvoy enrollments, maintain guest satisfaction scores, and manage room inventory in coordination with revenue management. The ideal candidate brings Marriott-branded hotel experience and is comfortable operating in a bilingual English/Spanish guest and team environment. Key duties include overseeing check-in/check-out, reservations, guest requests, room assignments, night audit, supervising front desk staff, ensuring compliance with brand standards, operating Marriott systems (MARSHA, FOSSE/Opera Cloud, Empower GXP, MGS, mLearning, Bonvoy platforms), driving Bonvoy enrollment goals, responding to guest feedback, coordinating with Housekeeping and Engineering, managing front office budget, supporting revenue decisions, ensuring PCI compliance, and leading pre-shift huddles and MOD shifts, while adhering to regulatory requirements and emergency preparedness. Relocation details are provided as part of benefits and a fully in-person schedule is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of front office supervisory or management experience in a Marriott-branded hotel (City Express, Fairfield Inn, SpringHill Suites, Courtyard, Four Points, or similar select-service brand strongly preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management preferred
- Working knowledge of Marriott systems (MARSHA, FOSSE or Opera Cloud, Empower GXP, MGS)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding GSS, Bonvoy enrollment, and intent-to-recommend targets
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Experience opening or transitioning a property to the City Express by Marriott flag
- Prior Kronos/UKG or similar scheduling platforms
- Familiarity with New Orleans MSA group/transient mix (convention, leisure, port/cruise, oil & gas corporate)
- Marriott-branded hotel experience
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and team development skills
