Job Summary
Answer phones, track new patient information, and verify patient insurance eligibility before appointments. Collect co-pay information, manage provider calendars, and schedule appointments while assisting with billing and treatment inquiries. Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies. Gain financial commitment from patients and maintain productive schedules. Assist with other office duties as assigned by the office manager. This role supports the financial health of the practice within a warm, patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- 1 year dental front office experience
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Patient advocate; empathetic, adaptable, and ethical
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must have ability to assist in other office duties as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Prior dental insurance coordination experience
- Prior experience with Open Dental software
