Job Summary
Front Office Assistant Manager responsible for assisting the Front Office Director with hotel operations, ensuring attentive, friendly, efficient service and maximizing room revenue and occupancy. Role requires supervisory capability, adherence to SOPs, and proficient handling of reservations, staffing, payroll, and performance evaluations. Key duties include guest engagement, training, scheduling, cash handling, nightly audit coordination, and maintaining professional front desk operations consistent with Avion Hospitality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Progressive hotel/related field experience or equivalent education as listed under Education & Experience: - At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 2-year college degree and 2+ years of related experience; or a 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
- Strong communication and information conveyance.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternatives quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work well under stress and maintain composure.
- Problem solving and proactive thinking across workplace scenarios.
- Ability to assimilate complex information from disparate sources and adapt as needed.
- Active listening and understanding of co-workers and guests.
- Financial information comprehension and basic arithmetic.
- Must be able to work with employees and departments across the hotel.
- Customer service and guest-focused mindset.
- Front Desk operations, reservations, and guest engagement.
- Understanding of hotel policies, upselling techniques, and revenue optimization.
