Job Summary
Review appointment reports and accurately update patient demographics, guarantors, coverage, and Federal Poverty Levels in the Epic EMR system. Contact patients to verify registration details, collect previous balances, and advise on required documents and co-pays. Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve data discrepancies, audit entered records for accuracy, and generate performance reports. Maintain accurate documentation of data entry activities and provide front-line support for system issues. Ensure all patient information meets organizational standards while working toward a productivity goal of 25-30 charts per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in medical billing
- Previous experience in Medical Front office
- Experience running eligibilities for all payers
- Experience with Medi-Cal
- Experience with Medicare
- Experience with commercial plans
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Proficiency with Epic systems, specifically Prelude and Resolute modules
