Job Summary
Conduct daily front end load truck operations hauling solid waste and recycling debris from industrial, construction, residential, and commercial customers. Perform pre and post trip inspections, mount and dismount heavy-duty trucks multiple times daily, and complete assigned routes leaving customer locations free of debris. Professionally communicate with customers, report service interruptions or accidents to dispatch, identify containers needing repair, and notify mechanics of mechanical issues. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professional appearance while adhering to OSHA, DOT, and local regulations. Requires Class A or B CDL, ability to lift 75 pounds, and work schedule from 5 am to 5 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Must be able to pass criminal background check, physical and DOT drug screen
- Must have safe driving record, including no avoidable accidents in the past five years
- Must have ability to communicate professionally with customers, dispatch and internal customer service
- Must be able to sit, kneel, crouch, stoop, crawl, balance, hear, talk and smell
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work 5 am 5 pm
- May be required to work in emergency situations
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience operating a front end load truck preferred
- 1-year experience in solid waste industry preferred
- High school diploma or GED preferred
