Job Summary
Lead a crew of hourly team members supporting Pulp or Power operating areas by delivering results in safety, environmental compliance, employee engagement, reliability, cost, quality, and productivity. Set expectations, leverage teamwork, and hold individuals and team accountable for results. Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with direct reports for development. Implement reliability and manufacturing excellence initiatives such as work systems, precision maintenance, and RCFA. Identify potential safety issues and proactively address concerns while actively pursuing measures to reduce downtime on production equipment. Oversee housekeeping efforts in the designated area and identify opportunities to reduce waste. This role is located at the Ticonderoga Mill, where over 600 dedicated employees focus on safety, environment, quality, and production. The Front Line Leader supports the mission of sustaining forests and renewing ecosystems while delivering high-end printing and technical papers.
Required Qualifications
- Must have strong leadership skills and a proven track record of improving employee engagement
- Must have a B.S. degree in Engineering or related field
- Must have 5 + years experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering fields
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred
- 5 + years experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering fields preferred
- Previous supervisory experience a plus
- Successfully started the Front line leader onboarding curriculum or have completed (Internal posting)
