Front End Technician

Job Summary
Operate front-end machines including coil handling, cupping presses, body makers, trimmers, and balers. Rebuild, repair, or overhaul manufacturing equipment such as large presses, dies, and deep drawing tools. Diagnose mechanical difficulties, adjust settings, synchronize assemblies, and troubleshoot machinery out of specification using precision measuring tools. Perform setup and power testing while complying with safety SOPs for lockout/tagout, chemical handling, and PPE. Clear jams, lubricate, and maintain operational materials. Read computer reports and work from verbal or written instructions to plan repairs and setups.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering or Technical Degree preferred
- Good Mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of US measurement
- Ability to use calipers and micrometers
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to organize own work
- Basic knowledge of computers
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Team Player
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - per safety guidelines
- Mobility to cover expansive manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand conversational speaking
- Sense of Touch
- Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth)
- Sense of Sound
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a Manufacturing facility is a plus
- Experience in mechanical maintenance and repair is a plus
